Jewellery care

Silver and semi-precious jewellery, if cared for, will last a lifetime and beyond. You can help prolong the life of your jewellery with a little care. Try not to expose your pieces to chemicals (salt, chlorine in swimming pools, perfume and cleaning materials), harsh sunlight (for e.g. on a dresser by a window for long periods of time, which can tarnish silver and lighten the colour of some stones) or knocks (practical activities). Store in a cool dry place (the box your piece comes in will be adequate).

Sterling silver jewellery will naturally tarnish over time and should not be seen as diminishing in any way. Soap and warm water with a soft toothbrush can go a long way towards removing grime. Polishing cloths, available from any high street jewellers, will also help polish your jewellery, should you wish.

Please be aware that surface textures can change over time and will add a further personal dimension, reflecting how you wear your jewellery.

Finally, silver jewellery does best if worn regularly!
